| Description: | School of Life and Health Sciences We are seeking to appoint a highly qualified colleague capable at working at the interface between educational assessment practice and basic and applied research, with an emphasis on specific learning difficulties. The growth of referrals for educational assessments to the Aston Brain Centre has created an opportunity for an individual with appropriate skills and qualifications in Educational Psychology to our research team. The primary responsibility of the role is to provide assessment provision and associated reports for children and adult referrals to the Dyslexia and Development Assessment Unit. The post is significantly clinically based and client facing with occasional aspects of teaching, and day-to-day liaison with ABC research staff. The post is initially half-time (0.5FTE), with the potential to expand as necessary to according to the volume of referrals and workload demands. Candidates should possess appropriate qualifications, including eligibility for registration with the Health Professions Council, and be able to demonstrate the excellence of assessment practice by providing sample reports.
